Clift's Living Room playfully maintains the feeling of a hunting lodge by replacing stuffed animal trophies with a whimsical portrait series of a toy collection by Jean-Baptiste Mondino.
Clift Hotel invited us up to San Francisco to check out the experience, the city, and their building which is coming up on its 100th birthday. This San Francisco landmark had its renovation/restoration designed by Philippe Starck and loves mixing the old and the new. One of the most fun features, Living Room, is located just off the lobby. Its mahogany wood panelling echoes Redwood Room's painstakingly restored redwood boards. Living Room also offers a much calmer atmosphere, the perfect place for getting a respite from the day while still keeping an eye on the action. Scores of animal toy portraits taken by Jean-Baptise Mondino are wonderful company. They fill your vision and reward your curiosity as you explore the space.
